Osteopathic physician (D.O.)
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Osteopathic
physicians use the method of diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases. The
allopathic physicians (M.D.) are different from them because they emphasizing
the importance of the musculoskeletal system, proper nutrition, in maintaining good
health. The osteopaths use an approach to medicine. They work in osteopathic
hospital or private practice.
Salary:
$110,000
Education:
Students should
take high school AP or IB math, science, and English courses. It three years to
four of college. Some may attend medical school. Undergraduate requirement are admition
to medical school including one year of basic chemistry. Some medical shoos
also require course of calculus, English, humanities, or social science.
Medical school usually takes two years including the additional study.
Reflection: I
would want to be an Osteopathic if it was an option.
