Duties and
Responsibilities:
Operating technician
are also called surgical technicians. They assist in preparing operating rooms.
They are responsible for having sterile bandages and linens, need fluids, and
other equipment’s to be ready for the operation room. They also assist doctors
by handing them the needed equipment. They also deliver tools to hospitals labs
for analysis, and after operations to take them to recovery room.
Salary:
$16,000-$22,000
Education:
For this job
you need a high school diploma or a GED. You may go to junior colleges offering
programs in operating room technology and they may also take at a large
hospital. Programs may take between one year to two years. Students receive training
in a medical physiology and sterilization methods. At the end of the training
they must pass an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists to
become certified.
Reflection:
I would love
to be an operational room technician because it’s in the doctor field. Also because
I think my sister works in surgery doctor assistant.
