I agree with this quote because it doesn't mean that you need to get there fast you can go slow and get there in a safer way. An example if you are driving in the rain and you have something important to do you don’t want to go fast because you might have an accident or get hurt but if you are going slow you will not get hurt and get there safely. J

Recreation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recreation therapist plan treatments programs for people with disabilities or an illness. They sometimes include arts and crafts, music, dance, games and they also plan trip with the community. They also plan treatments and programs that are for the patient’s needs. They also evaluate the patent interventions for them to know if it’s working.  They also record the patient’s progress.

Salary:$42,280

Education:

They need a bachelor’s degree. They have to take course in in human anatomy, and medical and psychiatric terminology. You also have to finish high school to become a recreation therapist.

Reflection:

 I would want to be a recreation therapist because it sounds fun and you get to help ill people and you also feel good about it.

 I think this is a true quote because just because if someone says there right doesn't mean it’s truly right. An example is if you are driving and you say is left not right than someone else says no I right your wrong that doesn't mean anything because you might be right.

Thoracic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities:

They do operations on the heart, lungs, esophagus, and other organs. Cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiovascular surgeons, and more they also do surgery in the heart or other organs. Some things they could treat are blockages on the heart, heart failure and much more.                                                      

Salary $522,875 after six years practice

Education:

They are required to graduate from medical school and also from high school. They have to complete a five year general surgery. Then they have to complete and be approved in cardiothoracic surgery.

Reflection:

 I would like to be one because it sounds really interesting and I like to see how is our body is in the inside.

Radiation Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:

They treat people with cancer and other diseases by radiation treatments. They have to explain to their patient the plans and treatment of the radiation treatment. They keep detail of the treatment. They operate the machine to treat the patients. They also make sure that the machines are working well.                                                                                                                      

Salary: $77,560

Education: most radiation therapist has to complete their associate’s degree. They also have to have a licensed in radiation therapist to work as one. You also have to have interpersonal skills and technical skills.

 Reflection:

I would want to be a radiation therapist because I can save a life.

Psychologist study behavior for the people to understand their behavior pattern. They also provide with counseling and therapy. To those with emotion, learning, and behavior problem. They work in schools, clinical, hospitals, and private practice. They work in counseling patients, group, and families.

Education:

Student should take AP high school classes. Admission to graduate programs is usually dependent on the quality of undergraduate performance in a psychology major.

I would do this job because it sounds like a good job to work in.

They work for the government or sometimes they have their own clinics. They make treatment programs, also make psychotherapy sessions. They are licensed to write prescriptions. They specialize in problems of mental illness.

 Reflection:

I wouldn’t want to be this because iam not into this type of stuff.

The psychiatric technicians take care of people that have mental illness and other disabilities. They provide therapeutic care. They help ill people with their daily activities and ensure safe and clean environment. They observe patients behavior and listen to the concerns and keep record their condition. They also monitor patient’s vital signs and blood pressure.

Education:

They need a high school diploma. They need to have any psychiatric or mental health programs. They have 2 years to get the associate degree. They train a short amount of period before they get to work.

Reflection: I wouldn’t want to have this job because I really don’t think iam good for that job and the work you do in the job.

Pharmacy Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

The pharmacy technician is under the rules of the pharmacist. Their responsibility is to fill the prescriptions to the doctors’ orders. They measure the correct amount of medication for the correct container. They order supplies, wait on the customers, help fill out the insurance forms. They work in hospitals, retail pharmacies and more.

Salary: $15,000-$25,000

Education:

Students have to take math, science and CHEMISTRY in high school. You need a high school diploma and two year in college. They also have to take a six month program for a pharmacy technician.

 Reflection:

I would be a pharmacy technician it is a good job and its seems nice to work in.

Pharmacist

Duties and responsibilities:

Pharmacists are the person that prepares the written prescription by dentists, physicians, or other practitioners. They review prescriptions to validate their there date and then prepare the medication. They weighting, measure, and mix drugs. Pharmacists work in hospitals, clinics, health department, universities, and grocery.

Salary: $33,000-$51,000

Education: 

Student need to take English, science, and math in high school. They all have to graduate from a college of pharmacy. Most pharmacy schools require applicants to take pharmacy admissions test. It normally it takes at least five years to earn a pharmacy degree.
